Ground crew. But notice the edge on view of one of the sections. There isn't much space to crawl around in. It must have been a bitch building the first tower, which is even smaller.

The new tower now towers over the old tower, at about 1050'.
[Tower Image #85]
85 - 6/17/04 - 23:17
Nice view of one of the newly installed guy wires. The pins came in in the morning. Three of the riggers are heading out, back to Arkansas.
[Tower Image #86]
86 - 6/17/04 - 23:21
Among all of the other guy wires, you can make out the shiny new, slack, guy wires. There are six sections (120') left to be stacked on the tower.
[Tower Image #87]
87 - 6/17/04 - 23:22
If you look carefully, you can see a couple of the slack guy wires. Once they are tightened by the three remaining guys, there will be some down time until next Wednesday, as they are waiting for more bolts and crossmembers.
[Tower Image #88]
88 - 6/18/04 - 17:54
They have started torquing the guy wires. This was shot during lunch.

[Tower Image #91]
91 - 6/20/04 - 18:47
Beautiful day. The sun is just right so that the top three guys wires can easily be seen.
[Tower Image #92]
92 - 6/20/04 - 18:50
Pieces that will go on top of the tower arrived the same day they were installing the guy wires. See image 111 for details as to where these pieces will go.
