"In the House" revolves around Marion, a retired pro-football player and now physical therapist, who runs a sports injury clinic with his partners Tonia, an eccentric physical therapist, and Max, and egocentric doctor, while also serving as guardian to Tiffany, a teenage girl.
In the new season opener, Marion, Max and Tonia are debating a new design for the clinic. Before agreeing on their any of thier diverse opinions, a temblor strikes and causes severe damage. Figuring that this is some sort of a sign, Max and Tonia decide to take their share of the insurance money and strike out on their own. This leaves only Marion to finance rebuilding the clinic and running it on his own. Meanwhile, Tiffany announces that she's decided not to go to college after all.
LL Cool J returns to his starring role as Marion Hill, and is again joined by Alfonso Ribeiro as Dr. Maxwell Stanton, Kim Wayans as Tonia [Harris], and Maia Campbell as Tiffany Warren. Guest stars on the season opener include Ken Lawson as Carl, Gabrielle Carmouche as Raynelle, Furley Lumpkin as Al, `nita whitaker as Cleo Watson and Walter Franks as Wallace
