In making the announcement, Mr. Sullivan commented, "We feel that `Minor Adjustments,' with its strong family comedy point-of-view, will make a great companion series to `Moesha', and give us a competitive hour of comedy programming on Tuesday nights."
"Minor Adjustments" revolves around good-natured therapist Dr. Ron Aimes (stand-up comic Rondell Sheridan) who discovers that being a good husband and father is a lot harder than being a good psychologist. Executive produced by multi-Emmy award winners Paul Junger Witt, Tony Thomas ("The Golden Girls," "Empty Nest," "The Jobn Larrouqette Show") and Ken Estin ("Cheers," "Taxi"), the series also stars Wendy Raquel Robinson, Bobby E. McAdams II, Camille Winbush, Sara Rue, Mitchell Whitfield and Linda Kash.
"`Minor Adjustments' is a sophisticated family show at a time when there are fewer and fewer shows the whole family can watch together, says creator and executive producer Paul Junger Witt." He added, "We're thrilled that UPN has given the series another shot, and we look forward to growing with this new network in the montbs and years to come."
"Moesha" stars multi-platinum selling recording artist Brandy Norwood as 16-year-old Moesha, a bright, hip teenage girl coping with the pressures and demands of growing up in the 90s. The series, which was created by Ralph Farquhar ("South Central") and co-created by Sara V. Finney and Vida Spears ("Family Matters"), also stars Sheryl Lee Ralph, William Allen Young, Countess Vaughn, Marcus T. Paulk, Lamont Bentley and Yvette Wilson.
UPN currently offers two nights of original primetime programming Monday and Tuesday evenings (8:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT). Beginning in March 1996, a third night of programming will be added on Wednesdays. In addition, UPN broadcasts a two-hour weekend movie Saturday afternoons and an hour of children's programming Sunday mornings.
